Know how to operate microwave?

The office microwave was left open when I go to pantry.. Though no food is inside but the smell obviously proved that the food is scorched.. And the reheating level was set to High (which was very hot for microwave).
Somehow I wonder, is it that the user do not know how to operate a microwave, or is he/she really short of time for even 1 / 2 mins longer also can't wait.. Normal standard seldom recommend "High" usage of microwave for safety purposes...
Probably the user have a special favor of consuming charred or scorched food I guess..   :D

Not sure i should pity the Microwave or the food being microwaved..
Well, whoever he/she is, 保重咯...!!!
